The Challenge
Maximizing the spatial perception of a typical crowded Mumbai high-rise apartment. We had to replace multiple heavy masonry partition walls with load-bearing structural columns without disrupting building-wide plumbing shafts.
02 /
The Concept
An open-plan loft layout where zones are demarcated by custom oak timber partition screens, changing floor textures, and curated custom furniture items. A continuous palette of hand-troweled beige microconcrete covers floors and walls to visually expand boundaries.
03 /
The Outcome
The living area transitions into a dining zone overlooking the sea frame. Raw travertine tables and linen-clad sofas are highlighted by soft hidden warm LED strips. Custom floor-to-ceiling pivoting oak frames allow the library to be partitioned off for home office use.
